wake up, I just want to let the quiet sleep here.
I only know that, when my mother knew what happened, there was no way she would ever bring me home. She would not have called me out in tears anymore; she would never have worried about my face and worry about me as little. There's nothing like this on earth.
Now I am sleeping in a warm, secure bed. Now, I only know that: when the stars watch over this room, they whisper one thing—just tell me to wait here until the light comes out.

But she did not speak; she just sat there, looking at me with an enormous smile. She didn't even open her eyes for a moment, then closed them entirely. Then she said, "Oh my gosh! I can finally go home!" The sound of soft baby giggles escaped through the window, and I fell to my back.
In a moment, I was gone—along with my mother's shadow.
I will wait here forever.
When light comes out again, I know that it's not the same for me anymore. It won't make us laugh, or talk about how we used to be so happy together, but now it will tell me, "My family is watching."
